The & Operator

This one is maybe a little bit of a curveball, as far as functions go. The use of the '&' symbol in a formula doesn't strictly even make this one a function, however, it's super useful if you want to join pieces of data or information together!


The video shows the & operator in use.

The final written formula is below:

=B3&" "&B4&" "&B5&" "B6

In this formula, B3 = The, B4 = Blue, B5 = Star and B6 = Academy.

In order to get a space between each word, I've needed to add a space. Excel likes all 'text' entries to be enclosed in inverted commas so don't forget these!
